Saint-Jacques-sur-Coudenberg church

An almost-royal statue…
The Saint-Jacques-sur-Coudenberg church, near the Place Royale, is one among the many stunning edifices raised in this part of Brussels in the 18th century.
When a neighbourhood renovation project was launched, an initiative of Prince Charles of Lorraine, it was decided that the church would also be rebuilt. The facade sports colonnades and a Neo-Classic pediment, but within the edifice is characteristically Renaissance.
