Garden of the Mont des Arts

Contemporary park.
The universal exhibition of 1910 was held in Brussels. This is when the first Jardin du Mont des Arts was created up by the architect Jules Vacherot. Criticised for its Swiss-style architecture, it was redesigned between 1957 and 1958 by Ren? P?ch?re to fit into the urban complex of the Mont des Arts next to the Palais des Congr?s, the Royal Library and the Kingdomfs General Archives. This is a classically contemporary hanging garden structured in two parts and it is a real visual showcase within the city of Brussels.
