Belgian Centre for Comic Strip Art

Comic Books galore!
Not far from the Grand-Place, in an Art-Nouveau style building by Victor Horta, originally used by Charles Waucquez for his fabric shops, you will find all things related to comics. In a space larger than 4 000m² visitors will find temporary exhibitions, conferences and workshops. The 7 permanent exhibitions related to the bande dessinée or comic book open up a world filled with all your favourite Belgian two dimensional heros: Tintin, Gaston Lagaffe, Lucky Luke and Spirou.
One section of the Belgian Comic Book Centre is specially devoted to "comics in motion," the cinema adaptations of comic book characters. Presented in an educational manner, the visitor can discover the entire process of animated filmmaking from adaptation to the final cut.
